I do not manage to do negative/slide scanning on my 3210. I've tried any reasonable option in xsane and scanimage, but the scanner never uses the film scanning bulb.
What I did: *) I've installed the negative/slide adapter *) run "preview" in xsane *) switched xsane to media-type "slide" *) selected proper area *) run "scan" Any hints on what is wrong? Film scanning is working fine when I use the front-panel controls, thus hardware should be fine. Printing and paper-scanning also works fine.
