Hi all, I successfully configured my printer hp1012 with HPLIP's command hp-setup, it prints well even CID PostScript with customized GhostScript.
But I found it's feasible to configure my printer with following command after remove the printer which configured by hp-setup. lpadmin -p hp1012 -E -v usb:/dev/lp0 -P HP-LaserJet_1012-hpijs.ppd -o PageSize=A4 Preceding ppd file was extracted from /usr/share/ppd/HP/HP-LaserJet_1012-hpijs.ppd.gz. With command lpadmin plus ppd file, my printer works also well with PostScript printing, and both CID PostScript file with customized GhostScript. Is the lpadmin command with ppd file have the same effect with HPLIP's hp-setup command? I used Following instruments to remove the printer from system. - remove printer configuration in /etc/printcap - remove printer configuration in /etc/cups/printers.conf - remove ppd file in /etc/cups/ppd/ Best regards, Leon __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
