Hi,
I am using Fedora Core 3. I have a HP Deskjet 3940. I installed
HPLIP version 0.9.11.
The installation went smoothly. However, the problem is that when
I am running 'hp-setup', it exits, leaving an error message
[ERROR]: Unable to connect to hpiod.
I am sure that I have restarted the service hplip in /etc/init.d
and cups. To make sure, this is the result when I type
'service hplip status ' as root:
hpiod (pid 2519) is running...
hpssd (pid 2525) is running...
i.e hpiod is running.
Why hpiod can't be detected by hplip even though it is running?
I am new to Linux and HPLIP. Please advice me.
