Hi Raghu,

today I had a little success. I found out, that pdftops is made available by
poppler, which is then also used by lpr. So I downgraded poppler to version
0.5.0 and printing pdf documents was ok but then kpdf doesn't run anymore, so
I installed again poppler 0.5.1. After that I installed hplip 0.9.11 which
was even now available as gentoo ebuild and there was no page flipping
anymore when printing pdf documents but now there is another curious problem:
the top margin is about 1.3 cm (about 0.5 inch I think), so it cuts text and
after every print job there is an extra empty page.

Well I'm happy that the flipping is gone. Hope you have perhaps a little idea
for the new problem.
I wonder why there is no flipping but top margin of 0.5 inch when printing
pdf. It occurs both from kpdf and lpr.

Thanks for your help.

André
