Something is messed up with your install of Qt and/or PyQt. I've seen this (although I haven't seen it in a long time) when there is a mismatch between versions that are installed. What Qt/Pyqt packages are installed on your system?

I think qt3-common is the problem. I did a clean install of mandriva one. I checked each stage. hp-toolbox worked until a newer version of qt3-common was installed. hplip worked with qt3-common-3.3.4. When 3.3.6 was installed hp-toolbox stopped working. All other rpm's stayed the same. I will post to the mandriva forum and see what they say.
