I don't see any HPIJS errors in the log file. Would you mind trying
this:
>From Gimp, Click on File->Save as and select PostScript as the file type
to save.
Select 4 inch by 6 inch for image size in the Save as PostScript dialog.
Once you have the .ps file, send this file to the Photosmart 130 using
lpr command.
lpr -P<PS130 queue name> savedfile.ps
Tell me what happens then.

Subject: [Hplip-help] [photosmart 130] printing resolution

Hi,

I try to print photos with :

 - Gentoo Linux
 - HP Photosmart 130 ( Model Number : (1P)C8442A )
 - CUPS 1.1.23
 - hplip 0.9.8-r2

I setup cups like this :
 - Page Size: Photo with tear-tab (4x6 inch)
 - Printout Mode: Normal(auto-detect paper type) (for tests)
 - Resolution : 300 dpi, color, full bleed, color cartr.
(I also tried with 1200 dpi, Photo, full bleed, color cartr., photo
paper)

When I try to print a photo, it print only the top-left corner of the
image, and need several sheets to complete the job (I cancel it
before...)

I tried to change almost all possibles parameters in cups or hp-toolbox
(orientation, mirror printing, ...), always the same result : it only
want to print the top-left corner of the image on one sheet.

I did not try to change the image's printing resolution with gimp,
should I ? (is this not the hplip's job to adapt this resolution for
printing ?)

Attached files are the photosmart.ppd (generated by cups ?) and the
error log from cups with full logging.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
