We had decided pretty early on in this project to not support this functionality. Unfortunately, detecting a device button push requires that the I/O continuously polls the device at a fairly fast rate. This would cause a large amount of I/O to occur, slowing down other USB peripherals and the PC as well. I believe this is one reason why the Windows software has a tendency to slow a user's PC. We made the decision that these consequences are unacceptable. We will, of course, continually return to this decision if alternatives become available.
