Aaron Finally after many retries (installation uninstallations) i managed to print using hplip (1.6.6a)
The two problems i had a) the makeuri error, or the manual add in the cups web interface > > 1 hp:/net/HP_LaserJet_2200_Series?ip=10.0.0.31 HP_LaseJet_2200 b) the cups interface printing error > > deskjet_6127 "open device failed; will retry in 30 seconds..." > > hp_color_LaserJet_3700 "open device failed; will retry in 30 seconds..." > > HP_LaseJet_2200 "open device failed; will retry in 30 seconds..." > > And nothing is printed The first had an error in uri. The correct uri is: hp:/net/HP_LaserJet_2200?ip=10.0.0.31 The second was a SELinux issue. The SELinux protection on printing had to be disabled. Stephanos Using Tomcat but need to do more?
