Can lets setup cups so we can look at the cups log.

edit the /etc/cups/cupsd.conf change loglevel from info to debug. 
restart cups.  then run tail -f /var/log/cups/error_log try and print 
post the entire cups log if it continues to fail.  as well run tail -f 
/var/log/messages and post any errors.
