Hello I'm using the newest version of hplip and a DeskJet 5440 with Slackware 10.2. When I print out a document written with windows truetype fonts, for example TimesNewRoman, the document looks ugly due to messed-up spaces between the characters (the same document printed from MSWord via wine is looks as it should). For textprocessing I use kword (OpenOffice strangly doesnt print documents containing the windows fonts, but kword does). The fonts are all installed properly (I use them on the display, too).
