Hi,

thanks for your answers. I installed the printer via hp-setup, but I still got 
the same error.
In fact, I thought the hp-info command should be independent of cups and ppd 
files. It is only collecting data from the printer and not supposed to print 
anything. On my notebook I can even use hp-info without having cups installed.

I'm also aware that ghostscript, PyQT, SIP and libnetsnmp are not installed due 
to space constraints on my flash drive. However, none of these packages is 
required to run the hp-info command.

Do I get something wrong here?

I forgot to mention that scanning is not working, too.
