Using latest version of 1.6.7 which I compiled from source. Using the version of SANE (1.0.15) which came with my Linux distribution, Linspire.
Using Scanimage (or xsane) and with --mode Lineart I get the follloiwng error message: "sane_read: Error during device I/O". Other modes (Color, Grayscale) do not cause this problem. Using scanimage --list-devices: device `hpaio:/usb/hp_LaserJet_3030?serial=00CNBF116166' is a hp hp_LaserJet_3030 multi-function peripheral device `hpaio:/usb/hp_LaserJet_3030?serial=00CNBF116166' is a hp hp_LaserJet_3030 multi-function peripheral I am using Linspire 3.0.347. Before I reinstalled Linspire I had no problems scanning to this printer/scanner using lineart mode (through Xsane). I have posted this error in the SANE mailing list and the response was that SANE appear to be correctly configured and the problem lie with HPLIP. Any help with this would be gratefully received.
