Hello Don,

This complains about a couple of things: reportlab, pyqt,
libnetsnmp-devel, lsb and xsane.
I'm just wondering how reliable it is, because I definitely
*do* have xsane installed.

I found the part in the Makefile where it failed and just
commented it out, as it seemed harmless enough:

=== import ===
#
#       Run chkconfig/install_initd if DESTDIR="".
     if [ "$(DESTDIR)" = "" ]; then \
        if [ "$(INSTALLINITD)" != "" ]; then \
           $(INSTALLINITD) $(PACKAGE); \
        else \
           $(CHKCONFIG) $(PACKAGE) reset; \
        fi \
     fi
=== tropmi ===

After doing that, the install went smoothly.

Regards,

           Hans.
