I tested it with a canon i965 printer and tried to print to it from suse and ubuntu. It is a smart device and while it works faultlessly with its own drivers from windows, the Linux access is, from my experience, a pure pain in the a... Sometimes it works, most often it does not, works mostly for small print jobs but not for "larger" ones with more than two or three pages. Printserver needs to be resetted frequently, printer needs to be powercycled often and then it works agin or does not... Furthermore the support that I mailed to with my problems is no help.
