Hi, I am using hplip 1.6.9 under Kubuntu 6.6.1 with a Laserjet 3392, connected via the builtin jetdirect interface over ethernet.
Anything works great. Out of curiosity, I started hp-toolbox and found the "Make copies...." button. A click on it revealed the error message: "python: can't open file '/usr/share/hplip/makecopies.py': [Errno 2] No such file or directory" from the console where I started hp-toolbox from. A quick look into the /usr/share/hplip/ directory revealed that there is a python script "makecopies", but not one called "makecopies.py". So I created "makecopies.py" by doing a quick symlink to "makecopies" and: Voila!!!, the copy dialogue pops up when I click on "Make copies...". I still wonder what use this is when I still have to go to the printer/copier in order to put the original sheet onto the copier from which I want to make copies. But more interesting: Is this is a tiny bug or just something I screwed up within my own installation? Thanks much for help Eberhard ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
