Dave,

When I work with hpijs on the Mac over a year ago one of the things that I
noticed was that if you tried printing through hpijs via gimp you got color
mapping issues with Gimp printing to our printers. It usually made the image
look washed out about 20-25% of its saturation level.

One way around this was save the image out of gimp print and printing via
the hplip toolbox, Kprint or some line command that doesn't process the data
through Guttenprint's color maps which are not optimized for our devices.
