I am having a problem with HPLIP driver version 1.6.10 on Gentoo. I have
installed the HPLIP driver and configured cups to use the printer. It will
print one job just fine, but if I print another one all of the lights on the
front of the printer start flashing and the job fails, and I have to push
power to restart the printer. Then one job will print again, and it will do
it all over.

This is what the logs say when I print and it works the first time:

Dec 24 21:36:08 [hpiod] removing usblp driver interface=0 for
hp:/usb/Deskjet_D4100_series?serial=XXXXXXXXXXXXX io/hpiod/device.cpp 504_
Dec 24 21:36:08 [kernel] drivers/usb/class/usblp.c: usblp0: removed

This is what it says when I reset the printer:

On the second try it just stalls after sending the file (this is from the
cups log):

D [24/Dec/2006:21:33:30 -0800] [Job 32] foomatic-gswrapper: gs '-dBATCH'

D [24/Dec/2006:21:33:45 -0800] cupsdCloseClient: 14

Anyone got a clue?
