Hi! I'm having the same problem while trying to install HPLIP 1.6.12 (tried both the manual installation and the self-install options) on ScientificLinux 4.4 (a.k.a. Redhat Enterprise Linux 4.4).

In any case, I don't find the place where to modify the Makefile to get it running correctly :-( Any help will be appreciated!
