First let me say that this project is the major reason why I'm continue to buy 
HP printers and
have recommended some in the past to other users. Thanks for the great work!

Unfortunately I'm facing scanner problems with my OfficeJet 6110.
All installations have been done manually with hp-setup.
Printing works fine. Cups sees printer and fax. I've put
in this email:
- output from xscanimage with debug turned on
- output from hp-check
- log messages from /var/log/messages

I've tried my very best so far, but I'm not getting anywhere.

xscanimage provides the following error message:
