HI I just joined the list ans am fairly solid using Linux I had been using the HPOJ drivers until I up graded to fedora 6 but now they won't compile right away so I tried the latest install package for HPLIP but it is still having a problem with my PSC2110. THe PC set up is a smp 2GHz athalon with 3 Gig ram on board usb 1 and pci card usb 2 I have tried both usb 1 and 2 ports with same results I have also tried the 1.6.10 version of HPLIP from the fedora repo. Below was every test that I could think of or found from other trouble shooting threads in the forum that seem relevent to getting the scanner to function on a MFD.
I only saw one very similar problem but it was for a different model and distribution and not resolved yet Re: Scanning problem From: Will Hawes <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> - 2006-12-20 00:31 I seem to always get failed: Error during device I/O with export SANE_DEBUG_DLL=128 scanimage -l tail -f /var/log/messages hp-info hp-check Dual Athlon MP system 3 gig ram Kernel 2.6.18-1.2868.fc6 HP PSC 2110 USB 1.1 conection to mother board or usb 2 conection throough pci card yielded same results also same result with version 1.6.10 HPLIP 1.6.12 and also HPLIP 1.6.10 from fedora extras repo [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# scanimage -l [sanei_debug] Setting debug level of dll to 128.
