Hi,

I am interested in installing HPLIP on my Red Hat Enterprise Linux (v 3)
system.
I optimistically tried the self-extracting archive with installer, but
it failed (no big
surprise, since red hat was not listed as being supported!).
Early on there was a warning that the config file /etc/hp/hplip.conf was
not found.
Then it appears that the install scripts ran into an error on line 125
of dcheck.py
(perhaps because of the non-existing hplip.conf file?)

So I thought I'd try a manual install instead.
But I see that it says "Instructions under development"
at the URL
http://hplip.sourceforge.net/install/manual/distros/redhatenterprise.html

Do you know when the manual instructions will be completed?
Or when the self-extracting archive with installer will support Red Hat
Enterprise Linux?

Thanks much,

Robert Kahn
