I'm using hplip for printing and scanning to/from my HP Photosmart C5180.
With hplip 1.6.10 I could share the scanner of the Photosmart over the
network (saned provided access ot the scanner and the hpaio-backend);
everything worked fine. After upgrading from 1.6.10 to 1.6.12 this setup
does not work any more. I can still scan locally on the server the printer
is connected to (scanimage -L shows me the printer/scanner). But saned does
not provide access to the scanner any more.
Here is the debug-output if saned:

This shows that the client is able to connect to the sane-server, but it
cannot find any scanner (which worked before in hplip 1.6.10).
Btw, I compiled hplip from the official Gentoo-ebuild.

Is there a way I can get scanning over the net to work again?

Thanks, Dan
