HP deksjet series (and I guess all recent HP printers...) store a value
named "total engine page count" inside of the device that counts every
single page ever printed, this value can be obtained directly from the
printer via undocumented key combination. I use this feature to see
e.g. how many pages I was able to print with the cartridge(s) or how
much I printed in a week or month.

I think it would be pretty useful to show the value of the printer“s
internal page counter in the hp-toolbox information tab, so one does
not have to waste some ink when obtaining this value directly from the
printer, getting this value from the toolbox surely is much more
convenient and elegant.
