Hello, I use mandriva 2006.0 and my printer HP Photosmart 2575 is identified (like one 2570), the prints job work well, and the memory-media reader work well too.
However the scanner is not identified by scannerdrake, xsane does not find none peripheral. HP printer toolbox reference an error when I tried scan: “Error of opening the peripheral “hpaio: /usb/HPPSmart_2570_sery? serial=MY67F110QR04DY”: not supported operation” when I test scanner by him. Package installed: xsane-0.97-2mdk xsane-gimp-0.97-2mdk libsane1-1.0.16-5mdk libsane1-devel-1.0.16-5mdk libsane-hpaio1-0.9.5-1.1.20060mdk libsane-hpoj1-0.91-8mdk hplip-0.9.5. - 1.1.20060mdk hplip-hpijs-0.9.5-1.1.20060mdk hplip-model-dated-0.9.5-1.1.20060mdk When I install the last version of HPLIP (2.7.6) my printer is not more detected (same result with version 1.6.9). Thus I remained with version taken by rpmdrake (0.9.5-1.1…). there is not hpaio.conf in my /etc/sane.d/ file whereas I have to install libsane-hpaio! Is it normal? could the problem it come from there? How solve this problem?
