Looks like you are missing GhostScript. What method did you use to install hplip?
Please edit the cups config file (usually /etc/cups/cupsd.conf), set LogLevel debug (you will need root privileges to modify this file) restart cups - usually /etc/init.d/cups restart print the testpage (from cups or toolbox) (remove all paper from the tray, so you won't waste printing PS commands). Send me the cups log file - /var/log/cups/error_log Raghu -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of cubo Sent: Tuesday, July 17, 2007 8:13 PM To: hplip-help@lists.sourceforge.net Subject: [Hplip-help] officejet pro l7580 hello, printer: OfficeJet Pro L7580 - cable connected /network printer/ ArchLinux - Duke (2007.05), kernel 2.6.21-6-1 cups - 1.2.12-1 hplip - 1.7.4a-3 kde (kdemod) - 3.5.7-13 - hplip deamon starts first, then cups - i have tried to configure via kprinter, cups web interface - i have tried various backends/options, e.g. socket://..., ipp://..., hp:/net/..., nothing works - when i'm trying to print (using toolbox, cups interface, ... doesn't matter what..test page, some plain/formated text) priter starts but print: -1. page: "%!PS-Adobe-3.0 %%BoundingBox: 0 0 612 792 %%Pages: 1 ...ETC..." -2. page: same -3. page: same -4. page - ... : blank pages (sometimes only few , e.g. 5, 10, sometimes can't stop and print stop only by pressing cancel button on the printer) - telnet IP 9100 < PlainTextFile works (but .ps file not,...) - sometimes i get error 1009 (code: 1009) thanks -- ..::]cubo[::....::]flovv[::.. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
