Hi, I just installed hplip 2.7.6 on Fedora 7 using the tar-ball and patch. After installing some python and sane devel packages all warnings and errors were gone. However, neither the HP Deskjet 3645 via USB, nor the HP Photosmart C7100 via wireless network, is working. Is anyone using this hplip version on Fedora 7?
After sending a test page to the printer I get: Jul 23 11:02:17 living Photosmart_C7100_series?ip=192.168.1.67: io/hpmud/jd.c 482: timeout write_channel hp:/net/Photosmart_C7100_series?ip=192.168.1.67 Jul 23 11:02:17 living Photosmart_C7100_series?ip=192.168.1.67: ERROR: ready to print; will retry in 30 seconds... For the deskjet it seems that hplip didn't install it properly. As for the Photosmart, I haven't got a clue (without diving into the code myself) Any help will be appreciated Regards, Jeroen. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
