Hi, I just installed hplip 2.7.6 on Fedora 7 using the tar-ball and patch. After installing some python and sane devel packages all warnings and errors were gone. However, neither the HP Deskjet 3645 via USB, nor the HP Photosmart C7100 via wireless network, is working. Is anyone using this hplip version on Fedora 7?

Jul 23 11:02:37 living deskjet_3600?serial=HU38D1N3ZGK1: io/hpmud/musb.c 512: invalid product id string: Operation not permitted Jul 23 11:02:37 living deskjet_3600?serial=HU38D1N3ZGK1: io/hpmud/musb.c 966: unable to open hp:/usb/deskjet_3600?serial=HU38D1N3ZGK1 Jul 23 11:02:37 living deskjet_3600?serial=HU38D1N3ZGK1: INFO: open device failed; will retry in 30 seconds... For the deskjet it seems that hplip didn't install it properly.
