Hi, I have recently set up a system with Fedora 7 and when I print the test page, [or any text page], the graphics print, but there is no text output. I had the same issue with Kubuntu and was working with Raghu Cauligi, [unfortunately I lost his email]. My printer, model 870Cse is known good, it prints fine, [black text, graphics w/ all colors] when connected to my FC4 system. I first attempted to use the system files that came with FC7 and then tried HPLIP [ver. 1.7.4]. I had tried version 2.7.6 earlier without success so I thought I'd try an older version. I have also tried configuring the system to use the LPT port directly and then the para-port. I haven't had any printer issues with the earlier versions of Linux, so perhaps there's a bug in the later releases[?]. Thanks, Pete
