Folks, I've been avoiding HP printers for some time now because of the lack of support for Linux. However, I recently bought a Deskjet 6980 printer based on a recommedation from a friend and installed this hplip package.
HPLIP is really excellent!!! The install was flawless on my Debian 4.0 system; it detected the printer on the wireless network automatically, and configured a cups entry. Keep up the good work.
