hi,

I found the solution for the hplip and the manual feed problem. From some strange reason i can't set the "tray2 and tray3" in hp-toolbox.
Tray 1 is the only one for manual feed, tray 2 is the 250paper bay. So u need to set those things in cups itself. Go to http://localhost:631 -> manage printers
->set printer options and enable the tray2. Now tray2 should be enabled per default whenever u print and it is auto feed :>

Hello!

I have a HP Laserjet 3050 working with opensuse 10.2 and the hplip-packages provided by jsmeix
(2.7.6). Whenever I print something the printer beeps and asks for confirmation, i.e. I have to press
the tick in order for the printing to start. The display shows : Manual source...

I have no clue how to change the printer's settings to not ask for manual confirmation. I had a look at
the settings and as paper source only Tray1 is available. Changing "Tray 1 (Manual)" to either on or off
does not change anything.

Another issue, which might be opensuse related, whenever I quit the hp-toolbox a pop-up notifies me
that no all-in-one devices were found and that all-in-one devices need a special setup. Since the
printer is found this is a false alarm. However if one uses the YaST printer module and it re-starts
cups/hplip (when exiting that module) one has to restart the computer in order to make hp-toolbox find
the printer again.

If one wants to set the printer as default via the hp-toolbox tool one is prompted for a password. I
guess this is the CUPS password, however the dialogue does not give any clue an what has to be
set-up in order to make it work. In my case it does not with the user's password so it might be useful
to give a hint how to set-up the CUPS-password for a user.
