Hi John,

Thanks for the tip. But  the Photosmart is on the network, not on the 
USB. So I don't see how udev permissions should solve this problem.
The Deskjet 3645 is on the USB, but it's not the problem here.

By the  way, the Photosmart is  actually a C7180, not a 7100 but I 
assume that they are compatible.
