Rob Ideally,
1. Kill any running process for HPLIP. 2. Find that directory where the hp installer unpacked your install files. 3. in that install directory, as root run 'make uninstall' then 'make clean' 4. as root 'rm -rf /usr/share/hplip However you are going to create packages it might be best to start with a completely clean system. There may be some other options I'm not sure. An engineer was just telling me about a tool that you could run make and make install under, and it would 'record', for a lack of terms, the install locations and such for you. I'll see if I can find anything like that. Hope some of this helps. jh Robert Taylor wrote: > I installed hplip using the hplip installer which is fine but now that i > am going to try and package the software for dapper i need to remove the > original installed files. > > I would like to do this cleanly witout manually tracking down various > folders and locations. > > Any tips? > > Thanks. > > - Rob > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc. > Still grepping through log files to find problems?
