Hello Since i use MDV From 8.x to 2007.1 printing text is normal but printing image is very slow. It takes several minutes. Either with lpr or kprinter My config ASUS A7N8X-X, processor AMD Athlon 2600+, 512 MB or ASUS K8N, processeur AMD Sempron 3200+, 1 Go printer HPLaserjet 1220 (72 Mo, USB 1, postscript) memory parameters set to 64 Mo and more in kde driver parameters HPLasJet1220.ppd is used(HP 1220 postscript driver) Hp doc says : -14 ppm for A4 i assume for text - nothing about image my tests : 1 mn 40 to print standard page with drakprinter 1 mn 6 to print photo page with drakprinter 3 mn to print test page with HP tools with krita some picture(png) 4 mn other 9 mn ! this is the time before printer begins printing. When printer begins printing then printing is fast. This is linux which is slow not the printer what does linux do ? linux printing is very slow printer printing is normal
