We are using debian 4.0r1. We've got an hp laserjet 4L printer. I'm getting the above message (authentication rejected) when I try to run hp-setup. The setup says "no devices found" searching for parallel ports. The printer is connected through a scanner - the scanner is connected to the computer port. (Note: not sure what package to install for the "scanimage".)
