Ok, that makes some sense.

As far as the toner goes, I'm assuming that if you used new HP supplies that
> the colors are correct or more to your liking?

I am currently using the new HP supplies that came with the machine and the
problem is that compared to print outs from two other professional sources,
my colours are out - too much cyan and not enough yellow.

To add to my problems, I am printing from Inkscape and all colours are
printed at 100%, even if the opacity is less.
