What linux distribution are you using? I have been using a this printer
with Kubuntu for a year or so with no problem. It installed from the
Kubuntu System Settings > Printers menu and because there was no driver for
the 1315, I used the driver for the 1310 model. I didn't use hplip until
recently, but that works fine too.
