All my printing is working, but I see I'm not alone in my error when trying to scan. I see a few mentions of it in the archives, and I am no different. I get the same message with xscanimage:
xsane: unable to fill data buffer: size=18411: prnt/hpijs/hplip_api.c 450 And since the printer is displaying "waiting to scan", I'm guessing that somebody isn't sending a big enough instruction to the printer. *** I gather somebody patched the HPOJ files back to 0.9.1, and that may have fixed it: 2007-07-26 20:56 Sandro Bonazzola I'm gonna wipe Debian's hplip v1.6.10 from my drive, and try the v2.7.9 source tarball. Maybe insert some debugging statments (I'm not a real C programmer), and see what I can track down. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
