Hi All,

I have been working on a html5/css3/no JavaScript version of the HPR
website. So far everyone who has seen it has been impressed...

http://hackerpublicradio.org/html5.html

... impressed by complete lack of design ability.

- From my point of view the html5 allows the pages to be simplified
greatly, and the menu at the top will allow the addition of pages
without affecting existing pages. (IE DeepGeeks torrent download page
that started me off on this tangent). It's accessible, and validates as
css and html5. On the other hand the design is less than brilliant, and
it doesn't resize well on small devices, but I plan to add a link to the
"text version of this page" on the top so all styling will be removed.

I intend to phase this in asap, so that I can continue on doing all the
other fixes I promised people. The page itself will be split into two
templates, a "header" and a "footer" that will be static and common to
every page, with the "main" section been different depending on what
page you are visiting.

If you think you can do better, please send me the code. One thing I ask
is that you maintain the logo as is. We have a lot of stickers, banners
and business cards, not to mention all the social media stuff, tied to
that logo. So it would be a needless financial hit to change it just to
meet "your vision", not to mention the effort involved.

Normally silence is assumed to be approval, but in this case lack of
alternative code will be the yard(meter) stick.

Ken.
