I can agree that the free mumble client is not so hot.  I paid for Plumble,
and it's been worth every penny.

The one audio book club I did participate in, I used this client while I
was at my pizza delivery job.

I was driving around downtown Louisville on 4G and had absolutely no
problem. If you have a decent connection, I say give it a shot!

I also now prefer to use the Plumble app as apposed to the PC app when
gaming, etc.
