I've received one HPR email in my gmail spambox recently, but the rest come
to my inbox.

I've run a number of small email lists for nonprofits. Below are a few
suggestions / observations from those experiences.

If those who receive HPR mail in their spam boxes would consistently move
them to their inbox with the "Not Spam" function *before* reading /
deleting that will help the Google servers learn that HPR mail is not spam.

Of course, the subject line can cause the algorithms to mark HPR mail as
spam. Ken, you might try changing the "[HPR]" subject insertion to
something such as "HP Radio" and lose the brackets. It has been my
experience that something like that could make a big difference. Of course,
encouraging users not to use spammy subject lines could help too. Keep
subject lines clean and simple.

As to Yahoo, I thought everyone knew that it is a hopelessly broken system
plagued by spammers? I know Mail Chimp tells you *not* to use a Yahoo
return address on your mass-marketing emails because of the likelihood of
it being marked as spam. And Mail Chimp is very aggressive in responding to
any spam reports that result from of its customer's marketing emails
because, of course, they don't want to be backlisted themselves. I think
Yahoo should simply be considered a fringe service and ignored. I keep an
old account there only as a spam catcher these days because it's so messed
up.
