Hi All,

Following on from Ken's plea on this subject back in June, I have put
together a simple means of submitting tag and summary updates.

Firstly, there's a web page which lists all episodes without tags and/or
summaries. It's at:

http://hackerpublicradio.org/missing_summaries_and_tags.html

You can easily jump to a given show from this page so that you can
listen to it and prepare the summary and/or tags.

When you have prepared the updates for a given show all you need to do
is send an email to [email protected]. The email needs to be
simple ASCII (like this one), please don't use HTML or any other fancy
stuff.

The subject of the message is not very important. Something like 'Show
2345' or 'Shows 15-17' would be good.

In the body of the message you need to place the following lines
starting with the 'show:' one:

show:23456
summary:The care and upkeep of wild Haggis
tags:haggis,care,upkeep

This assumes the show in question needs both summary and tags. Just omit
the one that's not needed. The summary shouldn't be longer than 100
characters, and the tags should be separated by commas.

You can repeat the 'show:', 'summary:' and 'tags:' lines if you want to
update several shows at the same time, just make sure that the 'show'
line starts each group.

Mail message processing is not automatic, and is subject to the
availability of volunteers. When it's been done, the web page will be
updated so everyone will know what work is still needed.

If you feel you can help it will be most appreciated.

If I haven't been clear in my explanation please ask for more information.

Thanks to Mike Ray for his help with the preparation of this system.

Regards,
Dave
