Uh oh. The seven worst letters in sequence that any visually impaired user can dread to hear, WYSIWYG...what you see is what you get. Notoriously rubbish and almost always unusable for people like me. And the worst reason things like Drupal and other CMS engines are so crap.

Bye bye

Hi All,

First of all Happy New Year everyone.

Huge thanks to all the people who submitted shows, and helped us out this year. We have at least *one and a quarter million downloads this year* to over a *hundred thousand subscribers*.

This year Dave decided to put down the Janitorial mop of office and will be sorely missed. It made me realize that I too will be leaving the project at some point, and as it currently stands I am a single point of failure. Obviously this needs to change, and so we need more people taking ownership of smaller parts of the project. The first step is documenting the current processes, and refactoring the code so that it will be easier to manage.

Thanks to everyone who offered me help, with sql, whisper, and all the other issues I was facing. It was much appreciated.

      *Important Changes this month*

  * The main change and only change you will see (if your are running
    javascript) is in the upload form which now allows for WYSIWYG
    editing. This offers you the ability to format and include
    hyperlinks - *so we don't have to*.
  * We intend to *Drop support for audio spx, subtitles json, csv* #8
    <https://repo.anhonesthost.net/HPR/hpr-tools/issues/8>

      We need help with

  * Design Changes on the Website
    https://repo.anhonesthost.net/HPR/hpr_documentation/wiki/Website-Design
  * Integration with Mastodon

  * We would like to have monitoring using Prometheus and Grafana
   <https://grafana.com/docs/grafana/latest/getting-started/get- started-grafana-prometheus/>
    dashboards

      Recent Changes

  * Comment Approval is now done via one click confirmation emails to
    the Janitors.
  * Removed references to the Internet Archive Copy of the shows.
  * Documentation of show upload process.
  * Comment feed bug found where XML is not been escaped - help wanted
    for php and perl coders, and mysql people.
  * Introduction of the WYSIWYG editor on the upload page.
  * A new tool to strip images from html data streams.
  * Refactoring of the show posting, and transcoding scripts - *ongoing*.
