I would like to remove 3 "Always try and fill any free slots that are available in the upcoming two weeks." as those slots can be filled with reserve shows. This reminds listeners that it is not a given that HPR will always have shows, unless people take the time to contribute. We have been filling empty slots with reserve shows with a warning for some time, and it has proven extremely effective in drawing in new hosts, and keeping the queue in equilibrium.
I am fine with removing 3rd guideline.
I would like to change 6 from "If you are uploading a series of shows then post them one every two weeks." to "All hosts must leave 9 slots between their shows.", again exceptions should be made with the mail list.
I am fine with the change. Although I do lean towards others who have expressed keeping the "two weeks" wording. I propose "All hosts must leave at least 9 slots (approximately two weeks) between their shows."
I will also be putting a lock in place so that new hosts can only post one show. Our automation only works when hosts have been created in the system. I deliberately don't automate host creation for security reasons. A side effect is that it will also allow the host to get feedback on what they need to change to improve their show, or for us to implement fixes required to deal with a new edge case.
I am in agreement with this process change. --Roan (rho`n)
