Conventionally CMAKE_BUILD_TYPE is specified in PascalCase, but it should accept any case (also "dEbUG"). On another note, "make -j install" is not a good idea. make will spawn as many jobs as it can, which can easily lead to out-of-memory situations. I recommend you use "make -j$(nproc)" or just stick to 2 or 4 concurrent jobs if you don't have much memory on the build machine. "make examples" after "make install" is also unnecessary as "make install" will build and install examples.
