WRT to the schedule and milestones: you should describe in more detail how you plan to implement the simulation model (i.e. which primitives are to be simulated (spheres, tetrahedrons, composites...) and how they interact). In the schedule you should clarify what the tasks and what the deliverables are (e.g. task: study force-based n-body algorithm, deliverable: pseudo code for model implementation). This is important for us so we get a better idea of how well you've understood the project at hands. Your background info is very convincing. Do you have any code examples online (for instance on GitHub)? That's by no means necessary, but would be the icing on the cake.
