Matteo

Apologies for the late reply. The verbs PP got broken when we made changes to
some of the lower layers when we added the Libfabric support. Could you please
create an issue on github that states it is broken and assign it to me
I have 2 plans

1) make it work again, should only take an afternoon to fix, but I’m up to
my ears this week and probably won’t be able to look at it until next

2) make some changes that integrate new stuff we did for Libfabric with
the verbs PP to make it a bit better and also improve code re-use - this could
take a week or more and will have tom come at some later date.

For now, use the MPI PP and harass me with reminders that you need this working
as frequently as you like

Subject: [hpx-users] libfabric and verbs support

Hi,

as far I can see from the CMakeLists.txt the parcelport based on verbs
and libfabric is still experimental. Anyhow, I tried to compile HPX with
the support for these libraries because I’m really interested on this feature
of HPX. I checked out the master branch but the compilation fails in both
the cases (verbs and libfabric). In order to compile I used the cmake flags
HPX_WITH_PARCELPORT_VERBS and HPX_WITH_PARCELPORT_LIBFABRIC.
Is this an expected behaviour or I’m doing something wrong?

I tried to compile HPX on a cluster where I already developed and tested
applications that rely on these libraries so I’m pretty sure that the problem
is not related to the environment.

P.S. In attachment you can find a report with the errors.

Best regards,

Matteo
