In DC (may move to Herndon) through 9/5. We can pay up to $63/hr W2 or $68/hr C2C. This position has a location of 2115 as the main location; HOWEVER, candidates need to be willing to go to both 2115 and Herndon location. The team is scheduled to try to move to Herndon soon but does not have any timeline built around this. Please ensure candidates are locked down on locations for this role. Do not submit if there are any hesitations. *Description* *Position Purpose Design and develop solution specifications from user needs and requirements, software design constraints and software capabilities for large Enterprise Data Warehouse applications. Employ a structured methodology to define needs, develop and document technical requirements, and define solution specifications. May work with off-the shelf application software, proprietary organization applications, or enterprise software which is being built for a particular purpose. Bring to bear both knowledge of computer systems, capabilities and limitations and the business needs of client. Key Job Functions • Work with the business unit or other subject matter experts to identify technical requirements for application under development • Transform stakeholder requirements into usable technical requirements and, along with the Data Architect and Vendor/MSP, drives the solution specification. Artifacts produced include solution specifications, context diagrams, mapping documents, process flows, interface specifications, etc. • Review and/or contribute content to requirements, design, or test documentation • Understand the system and how it works, as well as the impact of the proposed solution on upstream and downstream applications/systems and interfaces • Perform data analysis at various stages of project, in order to assure development of a quality application. Analysis support can include requirements, design and testing artifacts • Review and/or contribute to application test planning, and evaluate test results to assist development or test staff • Assist project manager in task identification, resource allocations and schedule estimates for staff on assigned project in order to help keep project resourced appropriately and on track. May take lead on small projects or on segment of larger projects • Provide domain and/or technology and/or process expertise and mentoring to others on team. Prepare or contribute to briefings of application owners at pertinent stages of project • Generally functions in a lead role by providing technical guidance and direction to colleagues/clients in area(s) of expertise. Develops solutions and resolves the most complex issues, as necessary. Uses Knowledge of specialty areas and full knowledge of related disciplines. Work is typically performed without direction EDUCATION • Computer Science Bachelor Degree or Equivalent Masters MINIMUM EXPERIENCE • 8-10 years of related experience SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS • 4+ years of experience in planning, analysis and design of Enterprise Data Warehousing and/or message-based SOA applications –experience with XML a must • 2+ years of experience in the secondary mortgage market especially knowledge of the SF, MF and Security domains • 4+ years of hands-on Data and Systems Analysis experience including the drafting of Solution Specification documentation (context diagrams, process flows, use cases, interface designs, etc.) • 5+ years exposure to a data warehousing environment including knowledge of data warehousing tools and techniques - especially Ab Initio, Java/J2EE programming, XML, and Solaris environment • Experience with the following tools: DOORS, MS-Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word, XML Editors (eg. XML Spy), Share Point, ClearQuest, SQL Query Skills and Tools (e.g TOAD) • Experience with large scale, complex applications with high performance and high availability requirements • Experience with Data Integration and Access Management, Metadata Management, Data Quality, Data Modeling, and Data Security a plus • Ability to translate business requirements into a technical solution that meets those requirements • Excellent communication skills • Ability to multi-task and deal with aggressive schedules • Knowledge of the US Residential Mortgage Industry a plus * Regards, Ed, Recruiter. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "as400placements1" group.
