Designs and documents the functional specifications to match business requirements to a level of detail that can be used for further technical documentation for the purpose of defining, configuring or programming software or technical solutions. Active participation in translating functional specifications to technical specifications with the architecture and development team members. Develop and maintain a complete and accurate understanding of how business units conduct business. Maintain a detailed knowledge of the business’ current technology and infrastructure supporting those business units. Assists IT management in evaluating initiatives that may have an impact in areas where there is domain expertise based on previous implementation experience or business knowledge for that area Qualifications Successful candidates will have: • Bachelors degree in a related technical area or equivalent; MBA preferred • 5 plus years of related experience. Manufacturing industry experience required. • Experienced with all major development and delivery phases and activities. Has participated in the full spectrum of development and delivery activities on multiple development projects. • Able to think both tactically and strategically to insure solutions fit into overall enterprise architecture. • Comprehensive knowledge and broad expertise in application implementation. • Has comprehensive experience in implementing complex, cross-functional applications as a Business Analyst. • Has in-depth knowledge and experience with multiple designs on multiple technology platforms. • Has consulted on or led the technical design of a high-impact, multi-technology complex applications. SAP a plus. Experience with Microsoft based technologies required.
