Location: Washington DC (local candidates will be given preference) Duration: 8 month contract Serve as a lead technical resource in the strategic oversight and planning of data models and database design. Oversee the design, evaluation, selection, implementation and support of major database and metadata structures; review, evaluate and mitigate database performance issues and risks. Develop data and metadata policies and procedures, database design and data integration best practices. Create complex data models, including Enterprise Data Warehouse in support of the Firm's business objectives. Streamline the flow of data from authoritative sources to downstream systems. Lead design and development of complex data-related projects using a variety of programming and database technologies. Thoroughly document all data architecture components and related applications and system. Research and develop new technologies and techniques to facilitate overall systems architecture.
