Please let me know if you're comfortable with the below requirement ASAP. *Data Analyst* *Credit Suisse* *6+ months* *Raleigh, NC* *GC and US* Capacity Management Operations Engineer (Americas) The RDO Americas Capacity Management Operations team is looking for a Data Analyst with specific expertise in the analysis and modeling of Capacity and Performance data for infrastructure systems (spanning servers, storage systems, databases, networks, web applications and datacenters). The role will include the collection of Capacity and Performance data metrics across multiple infrastructure system classes (servers, storage systems, databases, networks, web applications and datacenters) and business applications; the management and administration of a central Capacity Management System (CMS); as well as extensive querying, modeling and visualization of large complex datasets into a series of cohesive and presentable storylines that can be presented to senior management. The candidate must possess solid communications skills and be a recognized team player as they will collaborate with peers from other regions around the globe to collect, model, visualize and present data. The correct candidate will be certified in ITIL v3 foundations as well as Capacity and Performance management functions and possess a complete understanding of related concepts from Service Design, through to Service Operations phases. Additional desired skills include a working knowledge of Supply Chain management and Theory of Constraints (ISBN: 978-0884271666), (“The Visual Display of Quantitative Information” ISBN: 978-0961392147), the ability to differentiate forecast from prediction and identify a signal amongst the noise (“The Signal and the Noise” ISBN: 978-1594204111). *KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:* • Represent Capacity Management as a subject matter expert when interacting with clients that have a need to gain a better understanding of their systems and applications. • Translate clients (and stakeholder) high level use case requirements into concrete requirements through Business Analysis. • Create formal documentation outlining client business requirements and formalize them into engineering requirements specifications which will be developed into tools and processes. • Interact with Product Management and Engineering teams to deliver requirement packages and track delivery of results. • Interact with Product Management, Engineering and Operations teams to establish baselines for Capacity and Performance metrics data to be collected and outline strategies to gain access to the data. • Oversee the ongoing collection of Capacity and Performance data metrics into a central Capacity Management System (CMS) database. • Maintain the integrity of the CMS by performing periodic health checks, planning upgrades, data pruning, archiving, etc. • Create custom database queries to mine and model complex datasets into clear storylines. • Develop streamlined, comprehensive and professional looking data visualizations and infographics which clearly explain analytical findings and promote and encourage a deeper understanding of data. • Present the results of Capacity and Performance analysis to multiple levels of personnel spanning engineers through senior management team. *SKILLSET:* • Certified ITIL v3 Foundations mandatory • Certifications desired in ITIL Capacity and Performance Management, as well as Theory of Constraints (ToC) • Graduate of “Presenting Data and Information” course by Edward Tufte (or relevant equivalent) • Broad breadth of work experience with various IT Infrastructure systems including: servers, databases, storage systems, networks, data centers and applications. • Hands on experience with databases (MSSQL and Oracle), which includes development of custom queries to build data models from complex datasets, as well as basic housekeeping and maintenance activities (upgrades, database pruning and archving). • Hands on experience working with Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) and Data Visualization tools, such as Visokio Omniscope. • Excellent team player and global collaborator with strong communication skills and the ability to present to personnel at multiple organizational levels, from technical engineers through to senior management. • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a strong desire to own issues through to resolution • Self-motivator who can work with minimum supervision. • A believer in continuous improvement of services, processes and operational efficiency • Has a long term perspective on client’s needs and develops a vision which incorporates their use case requirements *Thanks & Regards, * Praveen Kumar Ravuru Addon Technologies 734-956-4737 Ext 168 [email protected] <[email protected]> www.addonusa.com Gtalk & YM: praveen.addon *"There is hope in your future"*Jeremiah 31:17 (NKJV) -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "as400placements1" group.
