below. The person should have good 5+ yrs experience as SQL server
production DBA. SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:*SQL Server 2008
5-7 years SQL Server database administration support experience.
Proven skills working with mission critical databases, and be able to
provide overall support for the development and maintenance of databases.
Experience with and understanding of data architecture/mapping/warehousing.
EDI, ETL and Batch Processing experience are big pluses.
Experience with SQL Server components, SSIS, SSRS, etc.
Strong communication skills.
Full software lifecycle experience.


* DBA Job requirements.*Work with product support and development teams
(after hours support).
Perform database backups and other DBMS maintenance jobs.
Maintain a recorded log of scheduled jobs.
Ability to execute database scripts (ddl /dml) as part of planned
deployments (CMD deployments).
Perform database restores in support of development testing efforts
(Database refreshes).
Identify performance issues and resolve in timely manner.
Recover and restart failed jobs, resolve until successfully completed.
Provide weekend coverage on a rotation in support of project
implementations.
Record database / file system growth trends to assist with capacity
planning.
DB Security management, DB access requests.
Demonstrate skillset around production DBA support and ability to perform
in-depth DB trouble-shooting with emphasis in the following areas.
Ability to identify and trouble shoot Database incidents (performance
slowness, blocking, etc) with minimal or no assistance.
Responsible for deploying nightly deployments to Production with ability to
trouble-shoot minor code or deployment errors.
Ability to document and communicate issues log at end of shift log (open
items, incidents, actions taken, etc).
Handle nightly data refreshes, trouble shoot and resolve to meet SLAs, with
minimal or no assistance.
Expertise in working with developers in trouble shooting various issues (db
access, indices, long running queries, DB config settings).
Support DB backup/restore and maintenance jobs (trouble-shoot/resolve).
